KEEPING SMILES HEALTHY AND SAFE.
ROG Orthodontics has always been committed to the safety and well-being of our patients and team. To ensure we are taking extra special care of all smiles that walk through our doors, we have implemented additional safety measures in all of our offices. Please be aware that ROG has always used extensive hygiene protocols to keep our patients safe. Below you will see what we’ve always done and what we’ve added to our existing process.
ROG EXISTING PROTOCOLS:
Used hospital grade sterilization that exceeds industry standards and requirements which includes:
Heat sterilization of all instruments using steam-under-pressure FDA cleared equipment.
Surface sterilization with disinfectants efficacious against HIV and HBV
All equipment is either one use disposable or processed through sterilization after each use
Requires all doctors and team members to wear LEVEL 3 or higher masks and gloves when treating patients
Requires patients to wear protective eyewear while being treated
Use of air scrubbers on ALL HVAC air systems
(Air scrubbers using strong UV germicidal light been proven effective in independent studies
against bacteria, viruses, mold, and fungi in the air and on surfaces.)
ROG ADDED PROTOCOLS:
ALL patients complete a COVID -19 survey prior to their office visit check-in
ALL employee temperatures are taken and recorded daily upon entering the building
Require EVERYONE, including all ROG employees, to wear a mask while in the building
Require use of our touchless hand sanitizer dispenser for EVERYONE entering our facilities
Require ALL patients to rinse with a prophylactic mouth rinse for 1 minute prior to initiating a procedure
Removed patient chairs from our main operatory and added private treatment rooms
Reduced the number of people working in our buildings
Adhering to social distancing guidelines – only the patient allowed in the office for their appointment
(some exceptions being made)
Implementation of high-volume evacuators (HVE).
(HVE offers the best solution for controlling aerosolized particles before they leave the mouth. Studies have shown HVE to reduce over 90-98% of aerosols regardless of source.)
Implemented regular coil disinfectant treatment on our HVAC system.
(Using sanitizer listed on the EPA’s Registered Antimicrobial Products for Use against Novel Coronavirus SARS-COV-2, the Cause of COVID-19.)
Daily electrostatic spraying of non-toxic EPA-endorsed disinfectant
(For use against SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes Covid19 as well as MRSA, HIV and Norovirus)
